The Oasis Suites Hotel is a beautiful boutique property located just a few miles away that is an optional additional accommodation. Owned by family members of Michael Basnight, this hotel sits right on Roanoke Sound, providing unbelievable sunset views from its 17 suites and the gazebo.

The Oasis Suites Legacy

The Oasis Suites, now a luxurious hotel, started life as the Oasis Restaurant in 1950. It was home to lace cornbread and barefoot waitresses and was one of the most popular restaurants in Nags Head. But in March of 2004, a fire broke out that claimed the entire structure. But the owners (relatives of Michael Basnight) decided that the property now called for a hotel, and The Oasis Suites was opened a few years later.
